Whatcom Family YMCA Climbing Team.

Yesterday, before we went to skate at the Third Christian Reformed Church, we stopped to climb with the Whatcom Family YMCA Climbing Team. Our family is good friends with another family whose daughter, Kayla, climbs for that team. Their coach, Dave, is the nicest guy and lets my kids climb with the team whenever we feel like trekking up to Bellingham. This YMCA boasts the tallest climbing wall in Washington state at 65 feet so the kids always like when we go there. Beware on a warm day, though, because it gets hot at the top! The good news for the team is that they are growing! Last year they ended the season with about 4 or 5 climbers. This year they are starting with around 12 or 13. Looking forward to seeing all of them at the comps this year!
